NTT accelerates hybrid cloud migration and supercharge digital transformation for smart device manufacturer in Taiwan

Results in flexible IT operations, optimized workloads and future-proof business operations

Singapore, 14 April 2020 – NTT Ltd., a world-leading global technology services provider, today announced a partnership with a leading smart device manufacturer in Taiwan. The six-year partnership aims to support the client with its strategic digital transformation journey and enhance business performance with hybrid cloud adoption.

With a strong track-record in systems integration, NTT provided strategic counsel and technical expertise to help the client migrate its SAP software applications to the cloud. The entire migration consultation process included a review of existing digital architecture, and comprehensive support from migration preparation to post-migration tests to ensure secure asset migration.

Over the next six years, NTT will act as a single point of contact between a local cloud provider and a SAP managed service provider, to simplify IT operations for the client as it optimizes operations in a hybrid cloud environment. As a result, the client will be able to move and manage data, services and workflows across multiple clouds with increased flexibility and speed, strengthening the organisation’s competitiveness in today’s fast-paced digital economy.

This shift towards a next-generation hybrid cloud model will further enhance operational efficiency by enabling faster software deployments, while improving resource utilisation with an OpEx model. With a pay-as-you-use approach, resources can be provisioned instantly as needed, allowing the client to scale its IT infrastructure according to its business’ needs without having to build a new IT infrastructure for its SAP platform.
