The judging panel said that it has been a strong year for NTT, and praised the company’s growth and customer service
NTT was named Best North American Wholesale Carrier at the Global Carrier Awards 2019 in a ceremony that took place in London on October 30, during the Capacity Europe 2019 conference. This is the 6th consecutive year that NTT won such a recognition.
‘Congratulations to all the nominees and to the very worthy winners of our 15th Global Carrier Awards. We congratulate NTT on winning Best North American Wholesale Carrier, which underscores the high benchmark the company has achieved in the carrier space,’ said Rosalind Irving, CEO of Capacity Media.
The judging panel said that it has been a strong year for NTT, which has continued to grow through acquisitions and by establishing new PoPs and data centers. This winner prides itself on its customer service, which was strongly supported by the vast number of testimonials received backing this company for this award, the judges added.
Michael Wheeler, EVP of the Global IP Network at NTT (center), accepts the award.
Over the past 15 years, the Global Carrier Awards has become the biggest and most prestigious awards event in the wholesale telecoms calendar. More than 420 attendees attended this year, which featured an evening of fine dining and entertainment while celebrating the highs in the global wholesale industry.
Capacity Media’s Jason McGee-Abe, Editor-in-Chief and head judge for the awards, thanked all of the entrants for their record 271 submissions, congratulating the winners and the industry on their achievements. ‘The past 12 months has been an exciting year for the industry. We are witnessing a revolutionary period of change in the way that consumers and businesses communicate and demand higher quality, faster and more accessible, reliable connectivity for content,’ said McGee-Abe.
Founded in 2000 Capacity Media is an essential source of news and events in today’s telecommunications wholesale carrier and service provider marketplace and focuses on the critical business issues that carriers face in the rapidly changing telecoms market.
Through its portfolio of Capacity magazine and 22 large-scale global events including Capacity Europe, International Telecoms Week (ITW), the Global Carrier Awards as well as networking receptions, carrier directories and an online news source, Capacity Media has become a vital source of business intelligence for the global carrier industry.
