Honda Trading Asia needed to transition from its existing infrastructure to the AWS cloud as part of Honda’s global strategy. Transforming Honda Trading Asia’s infrastructure with proven cloud-migration frameworks

NTT DATA’s solution began with a comprehensive assessment of Honda Trading Asia’s existing infrastructure. This allowed us to determine the total cost of ownership and identify cost-optimization opportunities through right-sizing. Our team then implemented an AWS Landing Zone, a best-practice framework designed to establish a secure, scalable cloud environment. This approach ensured governance, security and scalability, all in line with Honda Trading’s growth strategy and future needs. To connect their existing data center with the AWS cloud, we used AWS Direct Connect. This ensured secure, high-performance connectivity that adhered to Honda’s policies and SLAs. A phased migration strategy was developed, categorizing workloads for a smoother transition.

The migration aimed to strengthen Honda Trading’s infrastructure by addressing challenges in aligning existing systems with best practices for AWS cloud. The new environment mirrored the existing data center configuration on AWS, and was designed to be secure and scalable, with the flexibility for future expansion.
