NTT wins Asia-Pacific Hosted IP Telephony and UCaaS Growth Excellence Frost Radar Award

Frost & Sullivan recognizes the Cloud Communications division of NTT Ltd. for its high growth trajectory in an intensely competitive industry. Singapore – 11 November 2020 – NTT Ltd., a world-leading global technology services provider announced today that it has won the 2020 Frost Radar™ Best Practices Award for Growth Excellence in Asia-Pacific Hosted IP Telephony and UCaaS.

The award by Frost & Sullivan recognizes NTT’s Cloud Communications division for its high growth trajectory in an intensely competitive industry.

Frost & Sullivan's global team of analysts and consultants continuously researches a wide range of markets across multiple industries and locations. As part of this ongoing research, they identify companies that consistently develop new growth strategies based on a visionary understanding of the future, and thus more effectively addressing potential challenges and opportunities.

This involves extensive primary and secondary research across the entire value chain of specific products and services. Against the backdrop of this research, Frost & Sullivan recognizes NTT’s Cloud Communications division for its valuable achievements, especially amid today’s intensely competitive environment, customer volatility, economic uncertainty, and rapid technology evolution.

NTT emerged the winner amongst a list of 16 top UCaaS providers within the Asia-Pacific region.

This award follows two additional recent accolades that the Cloud Communications division has received in 2019 – they include the Microsoft Intelligent Communications Partner of the Year and the Cisco APJC Partner of the Year.

NTT’s Cloud Communications division has revamped intelligent workplace services through a holistic portfolio of voice, meetings, and virtual events by merging its expertise from affiliates Arkadin, NTT Security, NTT Communications, and Dimension Data under a single entity. The strong integration of assets has allowed them to expand strategically throughout the region,” said Youngso Lee, Senior Industry Analyst of ICT Practice, Asia-Pacific at Frost and Sullivan

“In addition, robust service delivery capabilities with Cloud Transformation Services (CTS) as end-to-end managed service approach to improve customer interactions have optimized user experience in digital workplace transformation. The company has sustained its growth trajectory while driving business outcomes with the full suite of UCaaS delivery and compelling global scale of connectivity capabilities as a single solution platform provider,” he added.

Mark Alexander, CEO, Cloud Communications, NTT Ltd. said, “We are thrilled that our continued focus on delivering superior customer experiences has resulted in the 11th consecutive year of recognition by Frost & Sullivan. UC is a high-growth segment and represents a dynamic area of the business.

"To have won the award for Hosted IP Telephony and UCaaS is a strong validation of our efforts and expertise in the area, and a testament of our customers’ confidence in us as their trusted advisor. Our compelling connectivity capabilities as a single solution platform for agility, and scalability makes us a strategic business partner for organizations embarking on a digital transformation. We have strengthened our market position by delivering a highly optimized experience to customers through the provision of customized solutions that best fit client needs. We look forward to continue working closely with our customers and enabling seamless and connected digital experiences for them.”

Sean Kwek, Managing Director Asia Pacific, Cloud Communications, NTT Ltd. shared that the company has pivoted its go-to-market strategy from being a conferencing service provider towards a full-fledged UCaaS and cloud telephony provider in 2018.

“This award win demonstrates our commitment to deliver the best-in-class services and solutions to our customers, as well as our plans to continue expanding our services portfolio and technology leverage. We are dedicated to continue to play a key role in our customer’s digital transformation journey, which has been accelerated by the recent global pandemic, and to deliver an enhanced and optimal experience to their end users.”

The growth environment

According to Frost & Sullivan’s award research, the Asia-Pacific hosted IP telephony and UCaaS market is on a growth trajectory. Increasing awareness of collaboration, combined with the surge of virtual communication needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has accelerated the demand for hosted IP telephony and UCaaS.

Countries such Australia and Japan have been especially proactive in adoption of cloud-based UC as industries gradually evolve in the digital economy, and enterprises embrace UCaaS to capitalize on the benefits of cloud.

The Asia market can be compared to America and Europe in how it deals with the digital economy. Each country in Asia-Pacific has a unique market situation to plug in digital initiatives such as technology-readiness level, cultural conservatism, and compliance issues. Based on these different environments, business customers need more reliable and trusted expertise to guarantee differentiated service support to tackle the complexities.
