As anticipation builds ahead of Mobile World Congress Barcelona, which runs from 26 to 29 February, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the incredible progress we’ve made with NTT DATA’s enterprise Private 5G platform since its groundbreaking debut just more than two years ago.

The most recent example came in the past two weeks when we implemented a private 5G network at RAI Amsterdam, one of Europe’s largest event venues – a first-of-its-kind achievement in the Netherlands, where spectrum only became available 12 weeks ago.

This builds on the momentum we’ve gathered around the globe. From the City of Las Vegas and LyondellBasell to BMW, Albemarle, Schneider Electric, and Frankfurt and Cologne Bonn airports, to name a few, we’re at the forefront of a massive digital shift across industries, NTT DATA is leading a massive digital shift across industries.

Demand is on the rise. The private 5G network market is projected to reach more than USD 42 billion in global revenue by 2032, surging by 40% from 2024, reports Global Market Insights. The growth is driven by increasing application potential in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics and smart cities. Such forecasts are not surprising, as 86% of organizations are gearing up to embrace private 5G to drive network modernization, according to NTT DATA’s 2022–23 Global Network Report.
