In order to retain their market leading status in the Indonesian lubricant market and as part of business development efforts in the global lubricant market, PT Pertamina Lubricants need to improve and develop technology and support systems to achieve company targets. This meant that they needed to update the current modules for in their SAP supply chain management solution to improve process and shop floor management. To achieve this, they worked with NTT DATA in Indonesia.

Fully online implementation

The biggest challenge for this project was that the implementation was carried out in 2021 under pandemic conditions. This meant that the entire implementation process, including the full remote programmer team and the Pertamina Lubricants team who prepared the blueprint and conducted the data requirement gathering and coordinated with the NTT DATA team was fully carried out online. This approach had no impact on the quality of the solution and it was delivered according to the agreed timeline.
