Our cities are home to more than half of the world’s population, it’s where many of us earn a living, raise families and connect with different cultures and people in our communities. They’re also crucial to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

By 2050, 70% of the world’s population will be living in cities*, what happens in cities will influence the well-being of most of humanity. Which is why we’re proud to be recognized as the Business Avenger for Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities – one of, only 16 other companies in the world who champion a specific Global Goal.

Coronavirus lockdowns have impacted cities and communities all over the world in dramatic ways. The recent shift to work-from-home workforces has had a major impact for our cities, businesses, and our individual health and happiness. Now more than ever, technology helps us redefine and regenerate post-pandemic cities and the workplace.

Bei der anfänglichen Reaktion auf die Pandemie drehte sich alles um Business Continuity, aber die übereilte Entstehung von dezentralen Belegschaften in allen Branchen und Regionen hat Unternehmen gezwungen, den Arbeitsplatz nunmehr neu zu gestalten. Die sichtbarste Veränderung besteht darin, dass der Arbeitsplatz nicht mehr nur einen Bestimmungsort darstellt, sondern dass es um die Menschen und darum geht, wie sie sich in einer zunehmend digitalen und hyper-dezentralen Welt einbringen können. Der Begriff der hybriden Arbeit erfordert ein vollständiges Umdenken bezüglich des Arbeitsplatzes. Darüber hinaus hat unsere Forschung zu Arbeitsplatz-Trends gezeigt, dass Unternehmensführer auch die Arbeitsplatzgestaltung als Grundpfeiler ihrer Nachhaltigkeits-Agenda betrachten.
