Tokyo Century Invests in NTT DATA’s North American Data Center Business’ Chicago Data Center Campus

Tokyo - February 23, 2024 - NTT DATA, a global digital business and IT services leader, today announced that TC Global Investments Americas LLC, a group company of Tokyo Century Corporation, is investing in NTT Global Data Centers’ American data center business in Chicago, Illinois, a group company of NTT DATA.

NTT DATA is the world's third largest colocation data center provider* and provides global services combining capabilities such as data centers, networks, and managed services. The Global Data Centers division of NTT DATA also combines the broader power of NTT DATA with SI capabilities, consulting services and application development. The data center business has grown exponentially over the past few years in multiple markets around the globe in response to unprecedented digital demand.

TC Global Investments Americas LLC, a group company of Tokyo Century, is investing in NTT Global Data Centers Americas’ Chicago data center campus. The campus will consist of three data centers and deliver a total of 104MW critical IT capacity.

Driven by the continued demand of cloud services and the wider use of generative AI and other technologies, the need for data centers is expected to continue to grow. To meet these demands, NTT Group continues to develop and build data centers around the globe with the company’s over $10 billion investment in data center growth for fiscal years 2023-27. NTT DATA’s global data center expansion efforts include recent announcements of new data center campuses in Paris; Virginia in the United States; and in Noida and Chennai in India.
