NTT launches cloud service in Thailand

NTT Ltd.’s fully managed cloud enhances enterprise cloud requirements with its premium platform that supports SAP HANA® , contact center and future intelligent applications with an automated management service. Bangkok, Thailand – 27th November 2019 – NTT Ltd., a world-leading global technology services provider, today announced the launch of its cloud service in Thailand to increase the agility and flexibility in securely managing cloud data. The service is designed to work as a hybrid-multi cloud platform with a variety of major global cloud service providers.

The new cloud service is certified by SAP and supports the needs of enterprise clients to use a full cycle of cloud services starting from infrastructure, platform and comprehensive applications including SAP HANA®.

NTT’s cloud service is also the platform for critical enterprise applications, such as contact center and future intelligent applications such as analytics, AI and IoT.

The service comes with fully automated management to reduce the complexity of operation and with high-level security under the cloud security control (CSA-STAR) standard. NTT provides a full service to help clients with their cloud journey with consulting service, migration service and managed service by local and global resources.

In addition, the service can be integrated with Thailand Bangkok 2 Data Center or "Nexcenter" under NTT’s service and security standard. The data center received information security management standard (ISO 27001), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), Service Organization Control (SOC) certificate and energy management system standard (ISO 50001) to efficiently manage energy within the data center.

Mr. Sutas Kongdumrongkiat, NTT Ltd.’s CEO in Thailand, said enterprises today are using a variety of applications with a large amount of data stored in various platforms. Using cloud services is regarded as a choice to help them respond to the needs of doing business in a new era.

NTT’s new cloud service will specifically target these high growth sectors helping clients manage their SAP, contact center or other critical applications to enhance the agility and flexibility in securely managing large volumes of data in the cloud. Other sectors that are suitable for the new cloud service are large enterprises in the banking and finance sector, industrial sector, businesses with many branches and the government sector that require high-level security.

“We see demand for cloud services in Thailand growing especially on SAP platforms with SAP on cloud now accounting for 24% of the total SAP usage globally and the demand expected to grow in South East Asia and Thailand,” Mr. Sutas said.

He added that contact center is an application that shows higher demand on moving to cloud in Thailand, estimating the total market size of contact center will grow from USD16.4 million in 2016 to USD27.1 million by 2023, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.4%. We forecast that more than 50% will move to the cloud in Thailand over the next few years.

Mr Sutas added, ”Security is a key concern for enterprise clients in adopting cloud. To help solve such a problem, NTT has developed their cloud service, a fully managed cloud platform designed to enhance enterprise cloud requirements with private working process and high-level security management”.

Under NTT’s cloud service, security begins with the design process then proceeds through to end-to-end management, through interconnection to other clouds. This helps clients to manage their data more securely and more cost effectively.
