Liantis makes a point of offering their services digitally. This includes everything from absence management and workplace safety to recruitment and payroll. To offer these services, they must store, sift through and understand a mountain of highly confidential information, such as how many days’ leave someone took, and why, as well as data relating to salaries and company finances. They must protect the data wherever it goes: from the cloud, through the network to the user. Their existing network was secure, but it was approaching obsolescence and the end of network security updates. This would leave the network vulnerable to cyberattacks.

To comply with regulations and protect their customers’ data, they would have to update their software and their network infrastructure.

The need for change created an opportunity to reduce the upfront costs of an infrastructure upgrade. Liantis didn’t want to invest in hardware and technologies that would be obsolete soon; instead, they wanted to move to an opex model through network as a service.

Manage and secure all traffic

Liantis partnered with NTT DATA and Palo Alto Networks to deploy a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution tailored to their needs. We drew on our existing relationship managing Liantis’ data center infrastructure – including switches and firewalls – to collaboratively design a best-of-breed solution that combines internet connectivity, software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN), and cloud-based security. The new architecture leverages Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma SASE platform to seamlessly integrate networking and security into a unified, cloud-delivered model. This ensures that data, applications, and users are protected across all endpoints. We conducted an in-depth consultation and proof-of-value exercise, deploying the solution across four data centers and over 50 locations. Despite initial challenges, our teams worked closely to optimize performance, ensure scalability, and address any operational concerns.
