Yasuo Suzuki is Executive Vice President, Managing Director for Japan and APAC for Global Data Centers and he is responsible for the overall Data Center Service in Japan and APAC.

At the beginning of his career in the international business portfolio of NTT, Yasuo served as Duty General Manager of NTT Communications Philippines Branch between 1998 and 2001. From 2001 to 2008, he was responsible for the business development with various telecom carriers in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, India Middle East and Russia to deploy NTT Communications’ network services globally. He was one of the key members who helped expanding NTT Communications’ international business portfolio. From 2008 to 2013, Yasuo was Director of Group and Alliance Strategy in the Corporate Planning Department, responsible for various global acquisitions including Netmagic, Virtela, PC1 Cable and Emerio. He moved to the Data Center Engineering Department in 2013 and joined RagingWire Data Centers in USA as Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning in 2015 and contributed to growth of Data Center Business in US until March 2020.

Jonathan Scofield is the Vice President, Transformation for NTT Global Data Centers, where he orchestrates the Get Fit and Transformation efforts across all regions and all function to bring our GDC strategy to execution (see below for the Transformation Management Office’s Vision and Mission). In this role, Jonathan is responsible for strategy & vision, horizontal integration & change management, transformation portfolio management & governance, and transformation rhythm and pace.

Prior to joining NTT GDC, Jonathan was a Managing Director for Ernst & Young’s Transformation & Program Management practice where he supported companies across a number of industries in their Transformation and complex EPMO and Program Management initiatives. Among other things, he also consulted with hyperscale Data Center companies for over 10 years assisting in everything from M&A integrations through to structuring, managing, and delivering their portfolios of Data Center build and lease projects. Additionally, Jonathan is a retired U.S. Air Force Officer of 24 years with experience from aircraft maintenance to new technology development programs.
